There is no potential superstock this week. I was very surprised that no superstock was shortlisted after running the technical screen.

A number of stocks passed the technical screen, and the breakouts are almost textbook style - long flat base, high angle of attack and surge in volume. For US stocks, we have I, CBAK and TRNS. The charts for I and CBAK has been exceptional but unfortunately the fundamentals were not good enough to pass the fundamental screen.

For Singapore stocks, the construction stocks came to life as a number of construction stocks had strong breakouts. They include Chip Eng Seng, Hong Fok, Lian Beng and Oxley. Similarly, their fundamentals do not warrant them potential superstock status. I am not even sure of the catalyst behind the surge in construction stocks. I will still be monitoring this sector closely in the upcoming week.
