We are almost at the halfway mark of 2017. I was all excited to present the last potential superstock of the first half of 2016. Unfortunately, it was an anti-climax as my scan failed to uncover any potential superstock this week.

A few stock did pass the technical scans with flying colours this week - CSIQ, RUN, CLUB and IRMD. I had actually begun writing a post on RUN before deciding otherwise.

RUN had a great breakout from a long base. There were great catalysts, strong sector and even a nice ticker. The more digging I did, the more uneasy I felt about the stock. It did not have consecutive quarters of EPS growth, which I can put aside since at least it was flat year on year. The more severe issue is that its financials are complicated by equity tax investment funds. On top of that, they are plagued by rumours of data manipulation during the IPO phase.

Its technical itself might be good enough to propel itself to higher stock price, but I will play it safe.

That is it for this post. See you in the second half of the year.
